How to develop the disposable fast food tableware industry (Part 1)

However, the increasingly serious white pollution is caused by the reasons of consumers' random discarding, untimely recycling management and the difficulty of degradation and decay of the product itself

in order to effectively control white pollution, the State Environmental Protection Administration issued HF [1997] No. 527 document on August 19, 1997, which clearly proposed that to solve the environmental problems caused by waste plastic products, the prevention and control principle of "taking education and publicity as the guide, strengthening management as the core, recycling as the means, and product substitution as supplementary measures" should be implemented; At the same time, Beijing and Tianjin were required to carry out a nine month pilot program from September 1997 to June 1998. However, due to the short time of pilot work, lack of experience and too many problems to be solved, it is an objective fact that the pilot requirements have not been fully met. During this period, the spread of white pollution has not been controlled. Especially in 1998, the flood of the Yangtze river washed a large amount of garbage accumulated along the Yangtze River for many years into the river. Coupled with a large number of plastic products thrown by tourists and flood fighting personnel in the water, more than one meter thick white garbage floated on the water, which attracted the great attention of the leaders of the State Council. Soon, the State Environmental Protection Administration and other five ministries and commissions jointly issued the notice of "several opinions on strengthening the management of plastic packaging waste in key transportation trunk lines, river basins and tourist attractions", which sounded an alarm for the control of white pollution in the country. On January 22nd, 1999, the State Economic and Trade Commission issued Order No. 6, requiring that the production and sale of disposable foamed plastic tableware and the separation of two jigs at a certain speed and the use of tensile samples should be completely prohibited nationwide from 2001

it should be said that the promulgation of order No. 6 of the State Economic and Trade Commission has lit a red light for all enterprises whose products pollute the environment in the source of raw materials, production process, use process and waste after use, provided a certain policy basis for the pollution control of foaming tableware, and showed the determination of the government to control white pollution

the main reason for banning foaming tableware should be that the visual white pollution caused by it has not been effectively solved nationwide. If foamed tableware is really banned, it will be a good opportunity for the development of new environmentally friendly tableware. Moreover, from the perspective of environment, we should promote the use of environmental friendly tableware. However, there are many disputes and difficulties in banning the work of foaming tableware, plus turning off the compressor; Pressing the power switch, the price and quality of the new environmental protection tableware itself and many other reasons have caused the objective fact that the promotion of the new environmental protection tableware is difficult

the promulgation of order No. 6 of the State Economic and Trade Commission has weakened the recycling of disposable tableware to some extent, and focused on the prohibition and substitution. At present, it is impossible to draw a conclusion on the effect. However, according to the treatment experience of foreign plastic waste, combined with China's national conditions, and based on years of research and practical experience in this industry, the following suggestions for the healthy development of the fast-food tableware industry are put forward:
